all about snowkiting
Our snowkite season usually starts in December with the first snow and ends in March. In winter we kite not only on the frozen Lake Resia, but depending on the wind and snow conditions also on the Lake San Valentino and on the meadows in the area.
If you are looking for an easy way to get started with kiting, we recommend to complete your first kite course in winter. For advanced kiters, snowkiting offers the opportunity to ride off-road and experience unforgettable sessions high up in the mountains.

We’ll start the course with the most important skill – the kite control! With targeted exercises on the trainer kite, you will learn all about the wind window and important steering movements. Then you will grab your skis or snowboard and soon be gliding on the snow.
Why do you make faster progress in winter? Because you have solid ground, you don’t have to swim and don’t dive under when you stop riding. This way you keep your orientation and can save a lot of energy. After the snowkite course you will already have a good kite control, so that you can better concentrate on the water and waves in summer.

The great thing about snowkiting is riding up and down the terrain up in the mountains and exploring the area with a kite. That’s why we like to be in other places every now and then during the winter season – and we’d be happy if you joined us.
Whether Rittner Horn, Brambrüesch or Passo Bernina: We will show you the spot, lend you the right equipment and give you the necessary safety to have fun snowkiting in the mountains. You can find out where and when the next excursion takes place under kite camps.
