The geographical nature of Lake Garda means that there are very reliable winds: the Pelèr usually blows from the north in the morning, while the Ora blows from the south in the afternoon.

Kate is your first point of contact for questions and concerns. She takes care of all sorts of organizational and marketing tasks for our kite school.

Kate finds the perfect balance in the kite courses she holds. And in the kite sessions with her team in the evening.

Ivi

With his calm, motivating manner, Ivi quickly ensures that our students feel comfortable during the course and make great progress. When he’s not holding courses, he takes on the role of our personal videographer and editor.

As a passionate foiler, Ivi takes care of trimming the soft kites and sharpening our foils carefully. Afterwards, of course, he always has to test his improvements to the material extensively.

Jonno

Even on stressful days, Jonno doesn't lose his composure and immediately infects our students with it in the course. He is not only our man for kiting, but also for wing foiling.

Jonno is a talented handyman. He likes to build all sorts of practical things for our kite school out of old wood and broken boards – you're sure to discover some of these at our station.

Do I have to bring the equipment for the course myself?

If you already have your own material, you are welcome to bring it with you to the course. Otherwise, we will provide everything we need.

When and where do we meet?

We will check the wind in the morning and then give you a short update on when we’ll meet –if there will be north wind usually at 7:00 a.m., if there will be south wind around midday. We'll meet directly at Camping Denis in Brenzone sul Garda.

Do I need a lot of strength to kite?

No. The kite is attached to the so-called harness at your waist, so that the kite’s pull is distributed across your entire body. This means you have your arms free to steer the kite in a relaxed manner.

What will we do if there is no wind or bad weather?

If we can't practice on the kite, we will use the time for theoretical knowledge, answer your questions and complete the VDWS license exam.

How will I be billed if the weather conditions are bad?

If the conditions will not be suitable for the course, it will be postponed to another day. We’ll only bill for the sessions that we actually held.
